A Thriving Apostolic Work In Every Community
ABOUT US
Metro Detroit Has 4.2 Million People
To reach the city that we love, we need more churches. We don’t just want to plant new churches – we want to plant churches that grow healthy, strong, and thriving. We want to plant churches that reach people and make disciples.
Our goal is to help resource and equip you with the tools, training, and the funding that you need to reach the city you feel called to reach.
Church Plant
1 Co 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. A North American Missions Church Plant is an autonomous work that begins with the approval of the Detroit Metro District Board. Detroit Metro North American Missions provides training, funding and support for approved Church Planters on NAM Status. Our vision is “Partnered Together” and our mission is to plant a preaching point, daughter work or church plant in every community in Detroit Metro.
Preaching Point
A Preaching Point is a regularly scheduled service, typically once a week or at least once a month, that features preaching and ministry. It is not a firm commitment to start a church, but it’s a stated effort to explore the possibility. A preaching point is distinct from the mother church as to location or language, and it is designed to reach people who are currently unchurched. All Preaching Points may be approved by the Detroit Metro District Executive Committee or The Detroit Metro District Board.
Daughter Work
A daughter work is the result of an established mother church planting a new congregation. It is a gathering with at least one service per week apart from the mother church. The daughter work operates under the general oversight of the pastor of the mother church. A daughter work may be approved by The Detroit Metro District Executive Committee or The Detroit Metro District Board.
